Just when you thought Denver couldn’t get any larger or drastically develop any further, here are 5 major skyscraper projects that will transform our beloved city’s skyline. Each of these projects clearly shows the prosperity of our commercial and residential real estate market and the major growth of the economy in Downtown. These structures will modernize the design of our city and enhance the aesthetic atmosphere for those who live, work, play and visit Denver.
1. Block 162
Block 162 is a 30-story building at 15th street and California street in the heart of Denver’s very busy Central Business District. This block is not familiar to tall skyscrapers, so it will be the centerpiece of the neighborhood. Some unique features of this building include efficient floor plating, no interior columns, luxury bathrooms, and mountain views on every office floor.
2. Prism Building
Just down the street, you will find the new Prism Building, located at 17th and Curtis street. This mixed use building located in the middle of Denver’s financial district is home to 364 luxury apartment units and an enormous sky deck with glass infinity pool, as well as over 100,000 square feet of office and retail spaces.
3. Market Station
Moving to Denver’s booming lower downtown (LoDo) neighborhood, you will find Market Station, a full city block of retail, residential, office space, and food and beverage consuming most of 16th, 17th, Blake, and Market street! This trendy and stylish mixed use project will provide visitors and residents alike an escape from downtown life with a pedestrian walkway and unique interior spaces that match the history of the area.
4. Rockies West Lot
Sick of the same old places to grab a beer and a burger before and after the Rockies game? The Rockies West Lot plans to transform a parking lot at 19th and Wazee in the Ballpark neighborhood into a large mixed-use gathering plaza. Walk through the Colorado Rockies Hall of Fame or hang out in the content plaza, a pre and post game gathering place for fans with unique restaurants, neighborhood concerts, festivals, and other non-Rockies related events year round!
5. Modera West Wash Park
Denver’s popular Washington Park neighborhood just got hotter with the development of Modera West Wash Park, located just south of Downtown at Speer, Grant, and Logan Street. This highly anticipated residential community will feature an enormous 9,300 square foot rooftop deck with stunning city views, dog wash and dog run for all of Denver’s dog lovers, and a high-end fitness center with glass-walled mezzanine looking over the resort-like pool and cabanas.
